Fear of Steep Energy Bill Rises

 BBC News: Domestic UK energy bills could rise by 60% by 2016 in a worst-case scenario identified by the energy regulator.

SKY CONFIRMS 3D LAUNCH

Sky says it will launch its dedicated 3D TV channel for Sky+HD subscribers in 2010.

The service will be available through the current generation of Sky+HD boxes and of course, consumers will need a 3D ready TV which are promised for launch next year.

Sky has also announced it will introduce a ‘pull’ Video On Demand service in 2010 to partner its Sky Anytime ‘push’ VOD service.  The Ethernet port on the back of the Sky+HD box become active, with VOD delivered over a broadband connection.

House prices back to 2008 level

UK house prices have now recovered to the same level as a year ago, according to the latest figures from the Nationwide.  The BBC reported that the building society said house prices have now risen for five months in a row.

“The most intense phase of the recession and financial crisis has probably passed,” said Martin Gahbauer, the Nationwide’s chief economist.  The Nationwide said price rises have been particularly vigorous in the past few months.

There really isn’t a better time to retrofit and experience the ease of a fully automated home whilst adding value to your property.
